The NAACP Las Vegas Branch invites high school students to join the Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological, and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). Municipal court and district court judges are the courts that we are most likely to encounter. Municipal court handles issues like traffic tickets and city ordinance violations. District court judges handle issues ranging from felonies to juvenile court. Judges decide how justice is administered in our communities. YOU can decide who the judges become.

Each year, high school students across the country start a journey to sharpen their skills through the Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). From visual arts and business to performing and culinary arts, participants work with community-based volunteers for a year to develop projects and performances. The experience culminates in local and national events where students compete for scholarships and other rewards.
